Employers
At St Simon Stock Catholic School, we are busy growing your employees of the future. We need your help to raise their career aspirations, develop their employability skills and learn more about the exciting industries in Kent and Medway.
Benchmark 5 - Encounters with Employers and Employees
Every pupil should have multiple opportunities to learn from employers about work, employment and the skills that are valued in the workplace. This can be through a range of enrichment activities including visiting speakers, mentoring and enterprise schemes.
Every year, from the age of 11, pupils should participate in at least one meaningful encounter* with an employer.
*A ‘meaningful’ encounter is one in which the student has an opportunity to learn about what work is like or what it takes to be successful in the workplace.
