British Army Careers Workshop

On Monday, 11 November, we were honoured to welcome representatives from the British Army as part of our Careers and Futures Programme. The visit began with an informative talk where the Army representatives outlined the diverse pathways and career opportunities available within the British Army. Students learned about apprenticeships, roles in the regular and reserve forces, and the wide range of careers across all sectors of the industry, from logistics and engineering to healthcare and technology.

Following the talk, students participated in an engaging workshop that emphasised teamwork and problem-solving. The team-building activities challenged them to think creatively and collaborate effectively, fostering a strong sense of camaraderie. A short PE training session also gave students a hands-on experience of the physical discipline and cooperative spirit that are essential to Army life.

During the visit, the Army joined our school community in a meaningful two-minute silence and assembly to mark Armistice Day. This solemn occasion provided an opportunity for everyone to come together in remembrance and respect for those who have served and sacrificed.
