Welcome to Beijing No. 85 High School Visitors

During the week of 20 – 24 February, St Simon Stock Catholic School had the pleasure of welcoming students and staff from Beijing No. 85 High School. Each visiting student was paired with a buddy from our school, ensuring they felt at home from the very start. Friendships quickly formed as students settled into school life, embracing the opportunity to learn and grow together.

Throughout the week, the visiting students and teachers attended lessons, experiencing the British education system firsthand. They also took part in activities that introduced them to British culture and everyday life in the UK. These immersive experiences provided valuable insights and strengthened the bonds between our students and their international peers.

The visit concluded with a heartfelt farewell assembly, where the visiting students showcased their talents by singing and performing for their buddies. In return, our buddy students sang a farewell song, creating a touching and memorable moment for all. Each visiting student received a Certificate of Completion, recognising their achievements during the visit.

In the final hour of the week, students and buddies took the time to exchange letters, phone numbers, and small gifts—a reflection of the meaningful connections they had built. The visit was a truly enriching experience for everyone involved, fostering friendship, cultural understanding, and lifelong memories.
