Duke of Edinburgh's Award - Going for Gold

St Simon Stock Sixth Form proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of Matteo, who is set to receive the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Gold Award. Having joined us in Year 12 and already embarked on the DofE journey elsewhere, Matteo's dedication and commitment shine as he completes all three levels of the DofE awards, culminating in the coveted Gold Award.

Matteo's journey to this remarkable accomplishment has been nothing short of extraordinary. His pursuit of the Gold Award has seen him undertake a series of impressive challenges and activities, demonstrating resilience and a spirit of adventure. Notably, Matteo embarked on a residential trip to Italy, showcasing both his commitment to the program and his eagerness to explore and engage with diverse experiences.

In recognition of his outstanding accomplishment, Matteo will be invited to Buckingham Palace in London to receive his Gold Award from a member of the Royal Family at one of the esteemed garden parties. This prestigious event not only acknowledges Matteo's personal growth and achievements but also underscores the significance of the DofE program in fostering leadership, resilience, and a commitment to community service.
