Porchlight Sleepout 2023

52 Stocky Sixth Form students along with seven dedicated staff members demonstrated remarkable empathy and commitment to making a positive impact, as they participated in a Porchlight Sleepout on Friday, 17 November. The brave participants spent the night outside the Sports Hall, enduring the challenges of the elements to raise awareness and funds for homelessness in Kent.

Despite facing a particularly cold night, the students and staff displayed unwavering resolve, highlighting their dedication to addressing the pressing issue of homelessness in the local community. The Sleepout not only provided a first-hand experience of the challenges faced by those without stable housing but also served as a powerful statement of solidarity with the less fortunate.

The collective effort yielded impressive results as they managed to raise an outstanding £1089. This significant contribution will go a long way in supporting the efforts of Porchlight, an organisation working tirelessly to combat homelessness. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all participants for their selflessness and resilience.
