Our Sixth Form students, along with some dedicated staff members, recently took part in the Porchlight Sleepout to raise awareness and funds for homelessness. This year’s sleepout held special significance as Porchlight celebrates its 50th anniversary, marking five decades of ongoing help for vulnerable and homeless people in Kent. To honor this milestone, our students aimed to reach new targets for fundraising to support Porchlight's incredible work.
Braving the cold night with just sleeping bags and cardboard shelters, they experienced a small glimpse of the challenges faced by those who sleep rough. Their commitment and compassion were evident as they united to support Porchlight, a charity that works tirelessly to help people rebuild their lives.
We are incredibly proud to announce that their efforts raised an amazing £1,300 for Porchlight. This contribution will go a long way in providing essential support and services for those in need, including emergency shelter, mental health support, and assistance in finding long-term accommodation. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated and donated, making a real difference in the lives of people who need it most.
