Year 11 Drama Trip to The National Theatre

On 10 January 2025, our Year 11 Drama students, accompanied by three staff members, had the fantastic opportunity to watch The Importance of Being Earnest at the renowned National Theatre. The performance was nothing short of spectacular — hilarious, witty, and bursting with vibrant colour. It masterfully blended classic humour with modern relevance, leaving the audience thoroughly entertained.

The brilliant acting and impressive set design brought Oscar Wilde’s timeless characters to life, making the play an unforgettable experience for all. To top off an already exceptional evening, our students had the privilege of meeting two cast members after the show. There were plenty of excited smiles as they got autographs and snapped some selfies, creating cherished memories.

This trip not only enriched their appreciation of theatre but also inspired their own dramatic pursuits. Who knows? Maybe one day we’ll be watching some of our students on the National Theatre stage!
