Year 9 Retreat to Kintbury

We recently had the privilege of taking a small group of Year 9 students to the beautiful St Cassians Centre in Kintbury, nestled in the stunning Berkshire countryside. This four-day retreat offered our students a much-needed break from their busy lives, providing a unique opportunity for reflection and personal growth. The retreat centred around the themes of Awareness, Reconciliation, and Good News.

The retreat provided a space for our young people to breathe, identify what truly matters to them, and encounter God in a meaningful way. It was an incredible experience for all, fostering personal growth, new friendships, and a deeper faith.

The aim of the retreat was to help our students:

  • to get to know and understand themselves better, and to appreciate themselves more
  • to make new friends with students from other schools
  • to appreciate more the place of God in our world and in their lives; celebrating our faith together
  • to meet the young people where they are; providing them with the space to breathe, identify what really matters to them and encounter God.

We look forward to more such enriching experiences in the future!
