Student Leadership

Prefects

Our Prefect Team, including two Head Students, plays a vital role in the life of our school, leading by example and fostering a sense of community and responsibility. The prefect system is designed to prepare students to become leaders of the future, equipping them with the skills and experience to make a meaningful and lasting contribution to school life.

Prefects are expected to be positive role models for all students and serve as an essential link between students and staff, providing support and guidance while upholding the school's values.

Guided by John 10:10:
"I have come so they may have life and live it to the full."

Roles & Responsibilities

Each year, Prefects are appointed to undertake a variety of leadership roles, including:

  • Leading and organising charity events
  • Coordinating Multicultural Week
  • Supporting key school events, such as Open Evenings, Open Mornings, School Concerts, Shows, and Exhibitions
  • Providing a voice for students by acting as a bridge between the student body and staff
  • Setting a positive example for younger students and encouraging them to engage with school life

Prefects embody our school’s mission and values, striving for highest academic and personal attainment, fostering a culture of appreciation, and encouraging reflective learning and wellbeing. Rooted in our Carmelite Charism, they help build a community of love, instil hope and inspire younger students to grow in faith, responsibility, and respect for others. Through their leadership, Prefects live out our school motto:

Labora cum Amore – Work with Love
